Yesterday was such a good day because...

Catalina Bartolome is an incredible photographer from Argentina. The artist has published a new series of photographs in which a woman’s face is hidden by some of today’s most common objects. Her photos direct our attention to the positioning of the model, placement and language instead of what we are typically drawn to.

This week has been super slow, and the holidays are coming up. Usually during the holidays I go ice skating or window viewing because New York has the most beautiful window displays during Christmas, so every year I've done this except for last year and now this year.

This year was a headache..no a migraine, so many changes, so many twist and turns and errors. This year I went to Brit's parents house for thanksgiving and that apparently was not a success, but I should of known that being that her mother secretly despises homosexuality, and is completely judgmental... so why would I think it would turn out good?

Its cold out, but that dark empty cold, not that cheerful its almost Christmas and my birthday cold. The sun sets earlier but the days are so slow, its just me and Oscar. We need an escape plan.

So last week Friday I went to a party at Bogarts..why? because I was asked to be one of the promoters through my website. So Brit and I attended the party, it was literally about 25 degrees and we were freezing our asses off, when we got inside, we was greeted by Pinky, and we exchanged a few words and then money for the party. As the night continued the party got worst and boring. The DJ played 90's music all night, and the random girl on the mic gave the party a speech about relationships while everyone "boo'ed" her. Brit and I cracked jokes on it the entire night because she kept saying "Andrea you keep forgetting this is also your party". So at the end of the night when it was time to collect my earnings from the party, Pinky the female in charge of the money was drunk and couldn't handle it, so she made some random lesbian give us our share...but of course at first we got ripped off, so Britney spoke to the female and the money was settled a little better afterward.

Moral of the story: Don't do business with certain people...don't wear chic black dresses in 23 degrees weather...always sign a contract before dealing with money!

Someone Once Told Me

Sometimes when I come across projects like these, I say "my gawd Andrea you could of done that" either way "Someone Once told me" is a photography project by Mario Caccitolio, its a project where he basically goes around and asks people to tell him something that they were once told, then they write it down and he photographs it and writes a small bio about the person and why are what the lesson or saying meant to them. The lessons and things people are told are amazing, its a cool project it reminds us of how different yet connected we all are
